Top jogging places in Warsaw

?>

Let us jog… but where?

He who laughs last – runs fast!

If you do not run, while healthy, will have to run when sick.

(Horace 20y. BC)

So, why do we run?

I can`t fully answer this question. However, I’m sure that jogging – like a very hard drug, you can try it once and will want more and more… Any scamper for you it is expecting to have an amazing feeling, feel freedom and it is a good try to break away from all worries. I can`t say that jogging – is some kind of sport. For many of us, it is just a part of everyday life. And it’s great!!! Because it is well-known fact that jogging is one of the most effective ways to fight with everyday stress and dejection. Well, let’s fight with stress and autumn apathy.

Any way, if you want to start running, or just think about it – I will try to recommend to you the most interesting and comfortable locations in Warsaw.

Rocky

Let us jogging…

Some of you prefer running early in the morning, others – in the evening;

Some of you like running alone, while the rest enjoy the presence of friends;

Some of you choose open areas for running (for examples – along the roads), some – only in parks;

Etc., etc., etc.

The main question – where you will do it?

Let`s find out it…

I’ve chosen this or that location because of several criterias:

  1.   Location(What is it? Where is it? – Park –Road –Bridge …)
  2.   Beauty (It is extremely important for mental recreation)
  3.   Type of coating (essential for health)

Along the roads

Well, jogging along roads is not a perfect choice for your health. A lot of car gases may cause dizziness after jogging. I can`t recommend any special place, because there are so many direct and long runs in Warsaw.

For example:

It can be part of Jagiellońska street between [Rondo Starzyńskiego] and [Park Praskiim. Żołnierzy 1 ArmiiWojskaPolskiego]- the distance is 1 km.

Road

+ normal coating                                            – no picturesque areas around

                                                                             – just 1km. distance

It`s just an example. You can find a lot of tracks like this, if you look around your home. Good luck!

Running over the bridge

Warsaw – is amazing, colorful and very beautiful city! There are a lot of bridges which connect the two sides of Vistula river. These bridges are really nice but some of them are not equipped for jogging because the sidewalk is very narrow.

Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge

+ comfortable width for jogging                            – cars are everywhere

+ good view of the city                                              – not perfect road junction after the bridge

And now, the final part of our survey =)

So, the most common and obviously the best location for jogging – are parks…

As I said before, Warsaw is really amazing city. There are a great number of different, big & small parks in any city districts. Jogging in the park can bring a lot of benefits: fresh air, equipped roads with normal coating, possible meets with friends, pretty good nature around.

So, the most suitable parks for jogging:

Right-bank of Vistula river

  1.   Targówek – Park Bródnowski
  2.   Praga-Południe – Park Skaryszewski

Left-bank of Vistula river

  1. The Center – OgródSaski
  2. Wola – Park Moczydło
  3. Mokotów – PoleMokotowskie
  4. Mokotów – ŁazienkiPark

[Described here is only my subjective opinion. Of course in addition to these parks, Warsaw has a lot of different parks convenient for jogging.]

 The choice is yours …

There is one more park in the list. I can`t say something special about this place. It can be a quite nice park for runner, but I did not observe something special there.

Middle-size park

Trackcover – conventional asphalt

Just is a convenient place to run.

Mokotów – Łazienki Park

And for dessert – park “Łazienki”.

Kindly speaking, this is the biggest place I’ve seen in Warsaw. I’ve visited different parks in different countries, but such a beauty and absolute calm I have not seen anywhere else. This area–is truly an oasis of calm and relaxation in the middle of a noisy box out of stone and bricks. While visiting this park – you plunge into measured rhythm of life of this place.

  • This is where you can compete who runs faster, you or squirrels.
  • That is here where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the park while running.
  • Here you are able to run on a special track with special signs.

That is so atmospheric place, that just being here is great pleasure, and if you are running here – it even may go you crazy in a good sense.

This is the best place to run in all of Warsaw!

This is the best place to relax in all of Warsaw!

You must visit it!!!!

P.S. – do not forget to take a handful of nuts, to feed arrogant, but incredibly sweet squirrels while jogging.

Huge park

Trackcover – conventional asphalt& gravy roads

Presence of a special track for races with special labels

The best park ever

The best park ever

In the end, I want say only one thing…

Jogging- is freedom!

So be free!

Be healthy!

And enjoy places where you jog!

Good luck!!!
