Have you ever wondered what would you do if there would exist a festival only to embrace the love for colours? Have you ever wanted to SHOOT at your loved ones? I mean with love [no violence or pun intended!] . Is that even possible? Think of the fun you will have on blasting the colours you love on your friends and loved ones. Yes, the festival of colours –“Holi” is just around the corner. What is this festival, and where are his roots from? Well, all these questions will be answered. In the recent years it is celebrated worldwide as the festival of colours. Holi is known as the festival of love. It also signifies the victory of good over evil and the occasion to forgive and forget.  There are a number of legends regarding the origin of Holi.&lt;/span&gt;</p><br /><br /> <p>&lt;span style=”font-size: 12pt;”&gt;Once upon a time, there lived a king named Hiranyakashyap who ruled the kingdom of Earth. This king was gifted a boon by God that he could not be killed by anyone. This made the king to be very egoistic and arrogant. He was blind-folded with his actions and considered himself to be God. He commanded everyone to worship him. The king’s son Prahlad was a devotee of God and did not listen to his father. It was then that the king decided to kill his son with the help of Holika (King’s sister). It was due to Prahlad’s devotion to God that the demon king and his sister (Holika) were finally defeated. This signifies the victory of good over evil and the sense of equality. As we are aware of, spring on its arrival also brings about viral fever and cold. In the ancient times, the colours for holi were prepared from medicinal herbs. Therefore, after applying these colours the people were relieved from illness and also welcomed the good harvest, which in turn symbolizes happiness and celebration.&lt;/span&gt;</p><br /><br /> <p>&lt;span style=”font-size: 12pt;”&gt;So, now that you have the opportunity of celebrating happiness and love of colours in Warsaw, what is it, that you are waiting for?
