Why “I don’t have time” is a lie?

?>

We all know this type of people who always say ” I don’t have time”. If you ask me I just don’t belive it, therefore in this article I would try to convince you that “I don’t have time” doesn’t exist. Check it out!

The quotes says “None is too busy in this world. It’s all about priorities.” If you say you don’t have time, it actually means that this particular thing is not important to you and this is not your foreground activity. Meaning you don’t care enought to start doing something. If you had cared, probably you would have done everything for it.

How you choose to spend your time defines your priorities.

Look how quickly your perspective changes when looking at life’s challenges this way:

  • “I’d love to work out, I just don’t have time” becomes “exercising isn’t a priority.”
  • “I’d love to learn Spanish, but I don’t have time becomes “knowing Spanish isn’t a priority.”
  • “I don’t have time to travel” becomes “traveling isn’t a priority.“

Suddenly, the excuse of time becomes an incredibly weak argument.

…therefore what you do with your time is up to you!

To be more specific let’s look at the statistc below :)

We have..

  • 24 hours in a day
  • 168 hours in a week
  • 61, 320 hours in a year

Those numbers are never going to change and you should consider your time as the most important value.

Have you ever wondered why there are people who are doing so many things in their life and still are able to organise themselves between hobbys, friends and work? I guess they don’t have superpowers but their motivation is high enough to dedicate the time to important things.
What’s more they are being productive and they are aware that..

If you have a good plan, you know exactly what are the next steps to fullfil your goal.
If you plan your week in advance, your time management is way more better and suddenly you have more time for everything. Believe me, it works and crossing off from the bucket lists feels good ;)
There are many tools for planning which keep your life organized such as dedicated apps (Nozbe, Wunderlista) or fantastic paper planners and calendars.

How much is an hour really worth to you? Do you feel sometimes that you totally waste your time?
1 hour is a lot so instead of  investing it in time waster such as scrolling Facebook or Instagram and watching Netflix, you could do something that improves your skills or knowledge.

Maybe this is the clue for your “I don’t have time”. Think about it.

I hope those little tips made you think different about time management. I belive if someone truly wants to achieve something, they will always find time :) Maybe you have other advice or reflections?
