Runmageddon is one of the most extreme races in Europe and definitely something you should have on your bucket list. I am talking here about my own experience, but those kind of races are the best way to know (or discover) your physical capacities and how much you can achieve with your only motivation and mental strength.
And why am I writing about it today? Because Runmageddon is coming to Warsaw this Saturday 4th of June!
Now you may ask yourself why these races are qualified as extreme. The explaination is quite simple: in comparison with races like marathon or cross-country where participants just have to run (sounds pretty logical here, I know), extreme races have several obstacles disposed on their routes. The challenge for each and every runner is to get over them in order to achieve the ultimate final goal: crossing the finish line! Therefore, a true extreme runner will never fear swimming in cold water, jumping over fire, climbing sloping and vertical walls or even crawling in muddy trenches under barbed wires for example!

It’s been now three years I’m running extreme races and the Runmageddon will be my 4th one. This time, I signed up for the Classic one on the 4th of June, which means I’ll be running 12 kilometers with 50 obstacles on the route. I’m just so excited about it and can’t wait for Saturday! My muscles are hurting already but I know it will totally be worth it :) Click here to have an overview of what I’ll be facing on Saturday!
