The zoo can be found at Hardenbergplatz 8 and as you see it is not difficult to notice. The same entry makes huge impression! The whole garden was designed with great care, good taste and the best quality. Just after you cross the main entrance you can feel like you are in the right place.
Generally speaking it was firstly opened at 1st August 1844. Currently the zoo is feeding around 14,000 animals from 1,500 species. The whole complex is spread across 35 hectares so please remember that it will take almost the whole day to see everything.
What is more, I can say that all of the animals which are living there are in amazing conditions and they were well trained! Almost every time we walked over another animal they were starting to show off as good as they can.
To sum up, it was really good adventure and I recommend everyone to visit this place just because it is worth it! Please do not forget that the zoo is connected to an aquarium where unfortunately I had not enough time to visit that place.
Ticket prices are based on the places you want to visit. As our blog is created by students for students the price only for the zoo is 10 Euro. If you are planning to visit the aquarium at the same time the price goes up to 15 Euro.
