Applying for Erasmus

?>

Everyone knows at least something regarding Erasmus and the affiliated staff. I would like to give some insights on this issue, providing our readers with some implicit advantages of this exchange program.

Erasmus is an exchange program, financed by the European Union, Erasmus enables participants to move to another country for a period of up to 6 months, getting a totally awesome opportunity to explore new counties, extend network connections, get new educational approaches and much-much more.

Unfortunately more and more students (even international students) pass Erasmus by for some unexplainable reason. As my Dean (Svetlana Gudkova) once said: “If one has an Erasmus opportunity and wastes this right – it should be considered a crime”.

Let’s consider those reasons:

  1. Too expensive! Taking into account having a scholarship (for up to 500 euro) and relief in the form of exemption from expenses in Poland – Erasmus presumably is a super economic-offer. Students may consider it as free financial aim to their existence. New country, new experience, emotions, university, meetings, friends and places – all these are just additional value propositions:)
  2. I did not know… Well it depends of course, but I found out about Erasmus from Erasmus students:) Besides our beloved KU sends tons of letters about the program. So the only explanation is – that the person was hiding from Erasmus:)
  3. I am master, I am too old for this.. We have saying in my country – “Do not rush to live – You still have time” – It’s never too late to find something new in your life to get amazing experiences.

So do not waste time – especially if you already wasted it this semester (the admission period for next semester Erasmus is closed)!! No need to think – apply for that and enjoy the best semester you have ever had!
