Orientation Week

?>

Orientation Week is over – now it’s time for a short summary!

Your beloved ESN section had organized amazing events for 5-days. We finally met each other and spent great time together. We had a possibility to make new friends and got crazy with them during our parties.

DAY 1

The first day there was an official breakfast at Kameralna restaurant. Where you could enjoy a real traditional polish breakfast. Afterwards we went to our university and you were able to see how it looks like. In the evening, we did a Pub Crawl. It was a great preparation for the party in Organza club which was the very first party so the club was full of Erasmus students who had fun.

DAY 2

The second day was very hard for some of us and we all knew the reason – hangover – the main enemy of Erasmus students. Our international offices prepared  very interesting cultural workshops for us during which we could get more knowledge about Poland, it’s history and customs. Then we all met for the dinner at Vapiano restaurant and afterwards went to the party to Karowa club. People were dancing at the bar and socializing with their friends. And the party at Karowa was AMAZING!!!

DAY 3

The third day at the University you were informed about administrative units – all practical things which every student should know. In the evening we all had a little warm-up in Padbar where you could enjoy yourself by having a nice cold beer and playing video games with your friends! Afterwards we all had a great time in Opera club where we spent the next few hours together. It was a great occasion to have fun in one of Warsaw’s best decorated clubs.

 DAY 4

The next day we had a sightseeing tour during which we could visit many interesting places in Warsaw. The tour guide told us some historical stories and facts about the city and we really enjoyed listening to it. We hope you all fell in love with the city that you will call home for the next couple of months. In the evening we went for a couple of beers to one of the best bar’s in Warsaw – Makulatura where we got ready for the party at the Monobar club. The event was great – especially the music which was from 60’s and 70’s.

DAY 5

On the last day we all met at the Metro Centrum station from where we went to the Warsaw Uprising Museum, here you were able to get familiar with the history of Warsaw during World War II in particular the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 and the heroism of people that fought for their homes families and country. It was a very interesting and sometimes breathtaking experience, especially if you never heard the story of Warsaw’s darkest hour.

oww

As you can see, Orienation Week was an epic time so be prepared and join us next semester!! :)
