MEDICAL CARE AND INSURANCE – Your How to guide

Students from EU are entitled to receive free health care services from the  health care providers who have contracts with NFZ – Polish National Health Fund which is called “Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia”in Polish. Please take your European Health Insurance Card when you travel to Poland. This card should be presented when visiting a doctor approved by NFZ.

More details may be found here.

Students from non-EU should buy health insurance in their home countries (such insurance can also be purchased in Poland after your arrival). We advise you to purchase medical insurance for one year (if you decide to buy it in your home country make sure the insurance is accepted in Poland).

Overseas students do not participate in the Polish national health care system. Thus, the costs of in-hospital medical care and appointments to general physicians will have to be covered by the students.

Full-time students of Kozminski University are entitled to free basic healthcare services at LUX-MED clinics. This includes the services of a General Practitioner. For more information visit: www.luxmed.pl.
