First month in Warsaw

?>

So you are in Warsaw: you found an apartment, already considered what to eat, where to buy food, where KU is located, probably met some classmates. But what’s next? Of course it’s high time to explore the city!! And this is where a wonderful journey begins: you’ll become familiar with the astonishing beauty of Old Town, the amazing National Stadium, fairy-tale like Lazienki Park, Copernicus Science Center, plenty museums, exhibitions and gatherings. Tighten your belt – we are going!

The first thing to notice is people on the streets. They’re sunny, open, smiling, talking – they are alive and happy. I was really amazed by their willingness to help. Sometimes it seems that strangers tend to ask you: “Come on, man, I know you have lost your way– just ask me, I am available for help”. Should I get used to it? :)

Next thing one gets is an outstanding number of parks right in your face.

The heart of Warsaw – equally amazing all day long. Meet your friends beside Sigismund’s Column, pass Royal Castle and dive into one of narrow streets. Moving along numerous old buildings – feel that history outstretches its hand toward you. Probably several centuries ago some adventurist declared his love in one of these dead-ended streets? Anyway You proceed descending to the fountains and thanks God we arrived just in time – Singing fountains performance.

If you want to witness beauty in its pure form – you should definitely visit Singing Fountains: people engage their families, sitting on the grass under the stars and whispering how amazing it is. No word to describe the energy flying over fountains at that moment.

Almost forgot – do not hesitate to visit following:

So Warsaw is wonderful, unique and extremely attractive; it is a place where romantic but pragmatic West collides sensitive and kind but drunken East. It’s a city which throws you away from the first sight, attracts your attention from the second, but hugs and holds you so tightly from the third. Explore it, get acquainted with it, admire it and perhaps Warsaw will be your best friend ever.
