Student’s profile – Artem Kovtun

?>

Hey everybody. Although I should have written this post couple month ago, I am doing it only now :)

My name is Artem Kovtun, I am Ukrainian student, living and studying in Warsaw, Poland.

I lived in Ukraine for 23 years and once I left it for Poland, my life changed to significantly. Really never thought then one small change of location could give so many opportunities.

Now I try to live according to the saying: “A Tree grows and expands permanently: no matter what weather is outside or what obstacles it faces, the tree always develops every day. So try to be a tree.” btw a credit for these words goes to my good friend Chris Ameneiro. As it is I am trying to make myself better every day and seize opportunities I have. As for now I am a KU ambassador, a member of The New Media Club, a writer of one other blog called the Kozminski Techblog. All of these commitments, apart from experience, give a LOT of other opportunities.

I did not know that writing about yourself may be that difficult :)

Now it’s time to give you some info about what I am fond of, right ? :)

I enjoy reading and I really surprised to find out, that people are able to avoid reading. Just check this out small TED speech about books.

The next thing I like is sport of different kind, preferably football and basketball.

I like playing guitar everywhere and anytime. My relations with guitar playing started 9 years ago when I had a choice to buy either the iPod or an acoustic guitar. When my friend told me: “Depends on what you want: listen to music or create it”. Ever since it never has been a question :)

Another passion is travelling. By extending your frontier one will gain enormous benefits, barely noticeable at first but greatly valuable with time.

There are many other things that inspire me, but it is a totally different story :)

KOZMINSKI SCHOOL

I truly believe that KU is the best choice in Eastern Europe, and I am not only talking about the level of education. The knowledge itself is the same everywhere: if black is black, then every school on earth will give you this knowledge. The difference in approach, networking, opportunities and other “affiliated” staff. As I mentioned above my life got a steep swing after being admitted  to KU. I never stopped exploring its options.

In the end I’d like to quote the Michel Jordan’s words during his Hall of Fame speech: “Limits like fear are often just an illusion”.

Of course if you have any questions, suggestions – please write here of to my e-mail: arkovtun@gmail.com
